I always say that I didn’t find teaching—teaching found me.
With an undergraduate degree in Art History, I began my career at an art museum, where I supported the education center during children’s programming. It was there that I fell in love with teaching and discovered my true passion: working with children, especially those who need a little extra support to thrive.
Over the past sixteen years, I’ve devoted my life to empowering students—helping them celebrate their uniqueness while growing academically, socially, and emotionally. My experience spans a wide range of roles: classroom teacher, student support teacher, after-school tutoring coordinator, and restorative justice coach. Each position has taught me something valuable and prepared me for the next chapter—leading to be understood.
One of my greatest strengths is helping students develop the executive functioning skills they need to succeed—such as organization, time management, and maintaining focus. I work closely with students and parents to build strategies that reduce overwhelm, improve follow-through, and foster independence. I also collaborate with teachers to help them implement these self-management strategies in the classroom, creating learning environments that support the whole child.
As a parent, educator, and lifelong learner, I use thoughtful, student-centered strategies to support every learner’s growth. I’m deeply committed to my students, their families, and the wider community. Above all, I believe in showing up, advocating for kids, and helping them believe in themselves.
